The finest VIP seats for an amazing view of bridges

The many beautiful islands and bridges harmonize enchantingly at the Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridge (Shimanami Sea Route)

Islands of various sizes float in the sea at Setouchi, and are often referred to as the “Tato-bi (beauty of various islands).” The most outstanding of these beautiful islands is the view of the Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridge from Kiro-san (Mount Kiro) on Oshima. The Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridge is part of the Shimanami Sea Route, also known as the “Bridge Art Gallery” for the rich variety of its seven bridges, and is well-known as the world’s first three-part suspension bridge. See how the route design preserves the scenery of the islands, as shown in the photograph, and how technology was used to minimize the impact on the terrain to achieve an incredible harmonization with the many beautiful islands.
